Leading on ageing hard tyres with Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli closing on fresher rubber, and with no word from the pit wall, Lewis Hamilton asked Ferrari on the radio: "Are you using me as a guinea pig or what? What's going on? How long will you have me stay out?" A Virtual Safety Car eventually gave him the window to fit softs. He finished fourth. Team principal Fred Vasseur said Ferrari had deliberately kept the strategy off the radio so rivals could not hear it, but admitted the execution "was not that good." On Monday, Hamilton said his comments "weren't the best version of me.
